Effective July 1, 2025, this new statute [ Statute – 553.837 ] requires a new home builder to provide a warranty for a newly constructed home for at least one year.
This new statutory warranty states that the builder is required to warrant the newly constructed home for all construction defects of equipment, material, or workmanship furnished by the builder or any subcontractor or supplier resulting in a material violation of the Florida Building Code.
