Marty Wick Named President, ServiceMaster Franchise Services Group

October 31, 2014

ServiceMaster announced that it has realigned its Franchise Services Group under the leadership of American Home Shield president Mark Barry. Barry will lead both American Home Shield and the Franchise Services Group as group president, though the two businesses will continue to operate separately.

Marty Wick, American Home Shield vice president of operations, has been named president of the Franchise Services Group reporting to Barry.

“Mark has done a great job leading American Home Shield and we believe the realignment will allow us to accelerate top- and bottom-line growth of both American Home Shield and the Franchise Services Group,” said Gillette. “Marty is a strong leader whose process improvement mindset, versatile background and people management skills make him a great choice to lead our franchise businesses.”

Gillette emphasized ServiceMaster is as committed as ever to franchising and its valued franchisee-partners.

“Franchise operations remain strong and will continue to be an important part of the ServiceMaster portfolio,” he said. “Franchises represent a legacy of service that goes back to the company’s beginnings – and continues today through more than 4,000 franchise locations operating in more than 25 countries supported by home office employees and 33,000 franchise team members who are committed to protecting and maintaining homes and businesses.”

Gillette added, “We also believe that consolidating the leadership of the two businesses will allow us to apply the great work American Home Shield has done in the digital space to our franchise businesses and leverage our franchise expertise and relationships to drive growth and differentiation in American Home Shield.”

With the decision to realign the two businesses, Tom Coba has chosen to leave the company and pursue other interests.

“I’d like to thank Tom for his leadership of the Franchise Services Group over the past three years,” said Gillette. “His tenure with Franchise Services Group was marked by a number of improvements in our franchise operations, and we wish him well in his new endeavors.”
